New Insights On 2010 Recruiting Class

recruiting I’ve been thinking more about scout.com’s ranking of Washington’s 2010 recruiting class. Sure it’s ranked in the top 10, but as I’ve stated before, that’s simply because we’ve had many early commits. What about the quality of the incoming players? If we re-rank the recruiting classes according to average ranking of the players we get a vastly different result.

School Average Recruit Ranking
Cal 3.33
USC 3.25
Oregon 3.25
Washington 3.00
Arizona State 3.00
Oregon State 3.00
UCLA 3.00
Stanford 2.76
WSU 2.20
Arizona 2.20

Washington is in a four way tie for 4th 5th 6th and 7th place. Just as I predicted, our recruiting class will be ranked right in the middle of the Pac-10.
